IT Quality Assurance Coordinator
Job Description:
The IT Quality Assurance Coordinator reports to the IT Program Manager for day to day operational assignments and prioritization. The QA Coordinator receives direction from the Vice President of Solution Development when establishing the product development success criteria.
Job Responsibilities
1.Create and coordinate the development and maintenance of regression, integration and production verification test plans.
2.Perform and coordinate the execution of integration, regression and production verification test plans.
3.Coordinate the efforts of off-shore QA test resources to insure that test cases are assigned to be completed in timely manner.
4.Develop and maintain testing analysis, testing progress, and test reporting processes to insure timely and accurate reporting of the QA function.
5.Responsible to evaluating the feature request and solution plan to insure that success criteria can be evaluated with a suitable test plan.
6.Responsible for assessing the work effort for QA analysis of each release and providing input on the QA capacity plan.
7.Works with solution development management to assessment and QA resource planning.
8.Coordinate the efforts of QA testers to record test case failures or bugs and insure that the steps to reproduce bugs are clearly defined in the issue tracking system.
9.Facilitates the exit criteria evaluation and user acceptance testing processes.
10.Represents the “voice of the customer” when presenting opportunities for improvement to the application user experience and interaction.
11.Participates in release planning sessions to insure that QA analysis is included as part of the solution plan development.
12.Responsible for defining and maintaining the QA
Minimum Qualifications:
1.Ability to be assertive when stating the Quality Assurance position on success criteria.
2.Able to work with the development team to resolve release criteria and provide creative solutions to balance schedule, cost, and quality.
3.Able to analyze work flow diagrams and user interface stories to extract and document user success criteria.
4.Ability to analyze complex multi-step processes and perform root cause analysis.
5.Practical knowledge and work history with general types of QA automation testing and analysis tools is preferred.
Skills Needed:
1.Excellent oral and written communication skills.
2.Self-starter, able to quickly adapt in a fast paced work environment.
3.Demonstrates a team oriented approach to problem solving
4.Proficiency with the use of Microsoft Office products; Word, Excell, Powerpoint. MS Project skills are desirable.
