Project Coordinator (Project Manager)
Job Description:
1. Successful candidate will be a key member of the Project Engineering Team providing single point contact within the Engineering organization for Construction and Implementation related issues whose resolutions require engineering and construction coordination.
2. Background in multi-discipline construction engineering with civil and electrical construction experience required with thorough knowledge of related codes and regulations. Background in the implementation of various information technology components, and the implementation of back office processing procedures similar to those found in a transaction processing center. Knowledge of major job requirements are proactive identification and innovative resolution of technical and schedule issues affecting construction of the implementation of an Electronic Toll Collection, Photo-Enforcement, and Commercial Vehicle program. Candidate responsibilities include ensuring company rules and procedures are in place and implemented. Candidate will report to Manager of Project Engineering.
3. Understanding of construction contracts and permit requirements to ensure timely compliance through proactive participation and conflict resolution.
4. Review and comment on Contractor’s project execution procedures for technical, environmental and social compliance.
5. Participate in construction contract clarification and negotiation meetings.
6. Participate in review and implementation of detailed engineering and specific equipment selections which impact construction progress. Provide input in constructability workshops and safety in design for construction.
7. Participate and coordinate all aspects of the program including, but not limited to, site design, back office setup and implementation, infrastructure design and implementation, facility build-out, back office system design, setup, and implementation, and project reporting.
8. Communicate issues clearly, concisely and expediently between construction, off-site engineering and other parts of the organization to resolve issues with minimal impact to project cost and schedule.
9. Ensure resolution of nonconformity items for minimal impact to construction cost and schedule.
10. Assist with negotiation and management of contractual arrangements, change orders, claims and disputes.
11. Participate in establishing project status methods and monitoring for progress and quantity measurements.
12. Ensure that contract deliverables are consistent with existing state and local regulations and legislation.
13. Monitor progress on as-built documentation provided by contractor.
14. Ensure company policies and procedures are applied and enforced.
15. Comply with project health and safety policy.
Minimum Qualifications:
Successful candidate must submit to pre-employment drug and background check.
Skills Needed:

Multi-disciplined background including management, design, fabrication and installation of Electronic Toll Collection, Commercial Vehicle Operations, and Photo-Enforcement programs.

Understanding of the legislative and regulatory process, and ability to apply state and local statutes and ordinances to contractual commitments.

Proficient in applicable U.S. engineering and construction codes and regulations.

Knowledge of planning and scheduling, contracts, and project controls and procedures.

Ability to assess contract compliance and construction quality.

Ability to assess infrastructure needs, back office processing needs, and progress made on these requirements.

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, presentations etc.

Skill in the use of Windows based personal computers in application of Microsoft Office Professional and Project.

Effective written and verbal communication skills in a multi-cultural environment.

Work requires moderate physical activity primarily in an office environment, fabrication shops and construction site locations.

Work environment involves minimal exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
