Reverse Engineer
Job Description:
As a Reverse Application Engineer you will have the opportunity to review existing software applications and develop documentation and general operating processes for the department’s domain knowledge base needs. Some of your tasking will include the following:
• Work with the Application Development Lead on re-engineering issues related to the design, development and deployment of client oriented, mission-critical information and software systems.
• Ensure required SDLC documents meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements and identify and resolve systems issues.
• Be responsible for documenting various Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) documents for various information and software systems by reverse engineering.
• Research current COTS & GOTS programs and develop documentation and processes for the installation, configuration, and operation/maintenance of assigned software application systems
Minimum Qualifications:
• US Citizenship is required to be sponsored for this special access
• Clearance Sponsorship generally takes between 4-8 weeks to process.
• Good Credit History is required for sponsorship program
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field. Sufficient related experience could be a substitute
Skills Needed:
• 4-6 years direct experience in software development and/or programming design and systems management.
• 2-3 years direct experience with re-engineering of software application.
• Documenting various Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) documents for various information and software systems by reverse engineering.
• Extensive experience with core software applications, including Microsoft Office 2003/2007 Suite, installing, configuring MS Windows Server 2000/2003, MS SQL Server 2000/2005, Active Directory, and configuring Cluster Windows environment.
• Working knowledge of Windows network and PC operating systems, including Windows XP and Vista.
• Apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills and knowledge of best practices to re-engineering efforts
