Job Description:
The successful candidate will demonstrate the capability to participate in both product feature definition and development. The position also requires development of procedures and documentation in accordance with company standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
5+ years of experience in component level design and system integration
Skills Needed:
Ability to design, analyze, and develop subsystems or sub assemblies
Proven experience with design test, debug and verification electrical/electronic devices
Have working knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools
Hand-on experience with microprocessor based embedded systems
Working knowledge of Ethernet, wireless, and RF Communications
Working knowledge of logic analyzers and other hardware/firmware diagnostic tools
Full understanding of the product lifecycle process
Demonstrated ability to work with vendors and contract manufacturers to ensure cost and manufacturability issues are resolved early in the design cycle
Experience with DFx evaluations/processes a plus
Previous experience with regulatory agency compliance, prevention and mitigation of issues relating to both safety and emissions
Flexibility to work in a team on large projects or independently on smaller projects
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with software, manufacturing, and test engineering teams to ensure smooth product transition to manufacturing and release
Understanding of project scheduling, task definition, and effort estimation
Good communication skills both written and interpersonal
Exhibit strong hardware design evaluation and documentation writing skills
Must be authorized to work in USA
