Senior Communications Systems Engineer
Job Description:
Candidate will develop models to simulate communications systems using tools such as Matlab, Simulink, C/C++ and Satellite Tool Kit (STK). Qualified individuals will have a keen desire to support cutting edge research and development activities as part of a dynamic engineering team. Candidate will at times implement signal processing algorithms as part of a production-level communications system. Candidate will often be a general resource to multiple projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to obtain TS/SCI with active TS/SCI strongly preferred
BS in electrical engineering or related discipline with 5-10 years as a communications systems engineer or in related discipline with or equivalent
MS strongly preferred in electrical engineering or related discipline
Skills Needed:
Understanding and wide application of technical principle, theories, and concepts related to digital communications
General knowledge of other related disciplines
Experience related to wireless communication systems to support development of state-of-the-art communications and signal processing systems
Communications architecture design
Modeling, simulation, and analysis applicable to wireless digital communications systems
Matlab
C/C++
Strong analytical skills
Experience with integration and testing of signal processing algorithms on multiple platforms (embedded software, firmware, general purpose computers)
Comfortable developing in Linux environment
Understanding and wide application of technical principle, theories, and concepts related to digital communications
General knowledge of other related disciplines
