We are seeking Technical Project Managers with consulting skills. The Project Manager will provide technical software development guidance and direction to teams that may encompass our consultants and the clients’. Problem solving, flexibility and a desire to provide solutions to business challenges through effective software engineering methodologies are key qualities for the successful candidate. A willingness and expertise to function as a ‘hands-on’ software development manager is required. Successful candidates must have a future desire to develop their career to a senior project and/or account management level.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience in software engineering.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in managing software development.
- Demonstrates ability to proactively raise issues if specification will lead to quality, system performance, or architectural issues in product.
- Demonstrates ability to Interface with Technology and Business stakeholders to gather, define and document software architecture requirements.
- Demonstrates ability to analyze requirements to develop reliable and flexible software architectures.
- Demonstrates ability to drive technical software design and implementation with a hands-on approach.
- Demonstrates ability to author software architecture specifications and participates in the creation of detailed technical design documents.
- Demonstrate knowledge of multiple technology platforms/languages: J2EE /Java, EJB, JSP, Websphere, Weblogic, HTML/CSS, DHTML, XML, SOAP, JavaScript, MVC patterns, JavaScript, Java, PL/SQL, C/C++, RDBMS, CORBA, .NET, COM / DCOM .
- Demonstrated ability to design and familiarity with UML tools.
- Demonstrates poise, confidence and professional maturityto interface with senior-level executives in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrate ability to perform decision analysis, simulation, optimization, and decision-making to support the evaluation and selection of alternative software architectures.
- Demonstrate ability to provide guidance and direction to the engineering and development team to ensure architectural integrity of the expert understanding of the technologies, architectures and implementation issues at all layers.
Skills Needed:
· Demonstrated ability to work in at least 2 DBMS – My SQL, Oracle, Sybase, MS SQL Server, DB2
· Demonstrates ability to Interface with Technology and Business stakeholders to gather, define and document software architecture requirements.
